Marvin Rainwater, 1964 (mono),
1992 (stereo). Recorded: 06-04-64 |
Johnny Kidd (voc) - Mick Green (lead)
- Johnny Spence (bass) -
Frank Farley (drums) - Vic Cooper (keyboards) |
A
stop-gap 45, salvaged from the sessions for the long-planned but aborted
debut album. It's also the first released
appearance on vinyl of a regular keyboard player in the line-up, from
here until early '66 Vic Cooper from the Redcap days. His solo
here - probably unintentionally - relegates Mick Green in the process as
the song wasn't recorded with single release in mind. |

It takes a whole lotta lovin' to keep my
baby happy
It takes a whole lotta lovin', a whole lotta holdin' her hand
It takes a whole lotta lovin' to keep my baby happy
It takes a whole lotta woman, she's gotta have a whole lotta man
When she kiss me, she don't miss me
The best I ever did have
When she kissed me, I know she kissed me
I know I've been had
Whole lotta lovin' keeps my baby happy
It takes a whole lotta lovin', a whole lotta holdin' her hand
It takes a whole lotta lovin' to keep my baby happy
'Cos she's a whole lotta woman, gotta have a whole lotta man
When she kiss me, she don't miss me
The best I ever did have
When she kissed me, I know she kissed me
I know I've been had
Whole lotta lovin' keeps my baby happy
Yeah, a whole lotta lovin', whole lotta holdin' her hand
Whole lotta lovin' keeps my baby happy
'Cos she's a whole lotta woman, she gotta have a whole lotta man
Oh woman, you need a big man, you need lotta man
Aawwww, Yeah, a whole, lotta, woman (etc to
fade) |
