The Birds And The Bees

Newman, 1965.  Recorded: 05-11-64 & 15-02-65

Johnny Kidd (voc) - John Weider (lead) - Johnny Spence (bass) - Frank Farley (drums) - Vic Cooper (keyboards)

An energetic cover of Jewel Atkins US hit, rush-released a few days after the final overdubs had been applied in order to beat the original to the shops, but they didn't quite make it.... Vic Cooper sounds like he is playing a Hammond Organ on this one.

Let me tell you 'bout the birds and the bees
And the flowers and the trees
The moon up above
And a thing called love

Let me tell you 'bout the stars in the sky
And this girl and the guy
The way that they kiss
On a night like this

When I look into your big brown eyes
It's so very plain to see
Well, it's time that you leaned about the facts of life
Starting from A to Z (pronounced "Zeee")

Let me tell you 'bout the birds and the bees
And the flowers and the trees
The moon up above
And a thing called love

(instrumental break)

When I look into those big brown eyes
It's so very plain to see
Well, it's time that you leaned about the facts of life
Starting from A to Z (pronounced "Zeee")

Let me tell you 'bout the birds and the bees
And the flowers and the trees
The moon up above
And a thing called love

Let me tell you 'bout the birds and the bees
And the flowers and the trees
The birds and the bees
And the flowers and the trees
About the birds and the bees
and the flowers and the trees
The birds an the bees
And the flowers and the trees
(continue till fade)
